This original woodcut from a piece of Poplar wood, entitled “Anatomy of a Tree” was produced in April-May, 2017. It is hand-carved, and hand-burnished. The grain of the wood was exposed by the judicious use of wire brushes, and the composition was completed by the use of wood carving tools. The image area, including Title, Edition Number, and Signature is 5.5″ wide by 8.5″ high. This original art is printed on Loew-Cornell P-904 rice paper with permanent water-based black ink.
